We loved the friendly and knowledgeable hosts. The Waverly Inn offers an early evening happy hour with local bevies, free parking, and of course, breakfast. They accommodated our lactose and gluten food intolerances. For Hendersonville breweries , head to D9 for sours and Oklawaha for delicious gluten-reduced brews. Plus, Hendersonville is most famous for its fall apple orchards and incredible wineries , including Stone Ashe and Point Lookout Vineyards.

I have friends who just rented a home there, and I don't think they have as restrictive lease agreements. Some of that area like Montford is also somewhat walkable to downtown -- but still a tad father out.
The Residence Inn Marriott at Biltmore offers extended stay rooms and receives good reviews; we've been around there but have never stayed there. Tunnel Road has extended stay hotels, but that area is kind of wild and strip mall-ish.
I'd check Airbnb, too. The city is restrictive on Airbnbs -- so they are usually on the outskirts of town -- but they do exist.
